Nakumatt FC has refuted claims that they have sacked and replaced head coach Anthony Mwangi.

A section of the media reported that Medo Melis is the new man with the shoppers, raising eyebrows about the future of the current tactician.

However, chairman Bernard Mosomi has rubbished those claims, insisting there are no changes that have taken place.

“I can categorically tell you that Mwangi remains our head coach, reports that we have replaced him with Medo are without basis and untrue. Medo came, and requested to help us and after discussing it with the current technical bench, we gave him a green-light. He was just offering advice, not taking over.

“Any other information is meant to destabilize the team, right now we are focused on making the team better after the sponsorship,” Mosomi told Goal on Wednesday.

Nakumatt is currently placed bottom of the 18-team league table after a poor start to the season.
