Innocent Mutiso has returned to active football starting with Nairobi City Stars in the country's second tier league

National Super League side Nairobi City Stars have snapped ex- Gor Mahia midfielder Innocent Mutiso on a one-year contract.

Mutiso has been out for close to three seasons following a stubborn knee injury sustained while turning out for the Green Army . The attacking midfielder says he is happy with the move and his main objective is to help the team attain their goal.

Gor Mahia hint at making changes on technical bench

"I’m happy to have returned to competitive football, I have been in the cold for some time but it is a good opportunity to show what is left in me. I have signed a one-year deal with them (Nairobi City Stars) in a bid to help them get back to the premier league,” he told Goal .

The Kawangware-based side was relegated together with Ushuru FC after finishing bottom of the top tier table.
