Malawi international Chiukepo Msowoya is destined to join Golden Arrows as Clinton Larsen looks to bolster his team’s striking options.
The former Orlando Pirates striker has been on trial with Abafana Bes'thende for the past two weeks.
The 29-year-old forward looks to have impressed the technical team and he is set for a move away from Malawian club Nyasa Big Bullets.
“We’ve been assessing Msowoya for a while now and are in negotiations with him. We are certain we will clinch a deal with him soon. His contract with his team in Malawi (Nyasa Big Bullets) has expired. The good thing is that he’s familiar with South African football, as he has played here for Pirates.” Gordon Mosondo, Golden Arrows general manager told SunSport.
However, if recent reports are to be believed Msowoya might be in trouble at his Malawian club. The player's parent club did not take too kindly to the idea of him going out on trial without their permission.
Clinton Larsen’s men hope that the Malawian international may just be the key in securing a top 8 finish when the PSL resumes in February.
The KwaZulu-Natal outfit have been pushing above their weight this season sitting in 6th place.
