Move over Totti! Croatia's 'Maca Maradona' nets at the age of 57

The iconic striker has played the game at the top women's level for no less than 43 years and is still going strong as she approaches retirement age!

Francesco Totti remained a star for Roma into his 40s, but the legendary playmaker appears a babe in arms alongside one veteran goal-getter. 

Croatian Marija Matuzic is nicknamed the 'Maca Maradona' for her skills on the pitch, and is still going strong at the age of 57 in her home country.

Matuzic netted for Pregrada against Trnava as her side prevailed 2-1 in the fourth round of the Croatian women's top flight last weekend, extending the team's record to three wins and a defeat so far in 2017-18. 

Incredibly, this is 'Maca Maradona's' 43rd season, in a career that has spanned both the Yugoslavian and, after independence, Croatian football system. 

The striker made her debut way back in 1974, and lifted four Croatian league titles starring at Dinamo Maksimir in a spell that last 32 years until parting ways back in 2010.
