The former Blues defender believes the United boss must be given time to shape the Old Trafford side in his own image

Chelsea icon Marcel Desailly feels Jose Mourinho must be afforded patience from fans, with the Manchester United boss not having had the same freedom in the transfer market as cross-town rival Pep Guardiola.

"But it's tough. Every time, every game, there's big history on the shoulders of all the players and on the manager. So, let's give him time."
