The 28-year-old remains a doubt for the Atlas Lions 2018 World Cup campaign after suffering a season-threatening injury against Villarreal

Real Betis have ruled out Zouhair Feddal for six months after rupturing his Achilles tendon in Saturday’s Spanish La Liga game.

The Morocco international was stretchered off in the 55th minute as the Green and Whites sealed a 2-1 win over Villarreal at the Estadio Benito Villamarin.

And the Seville outfit have confirmed that the former Alaves and Levante player is set for six months on the sidelines, a lengthy spell that could prevent him from featuring for Herve Renard’s men at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

“Bad news. Feddal has been reported to suffer an Achilles tendon rupture,” the club tweeted.
