The Southampton winger believes Herve Renard’s men are focused on having a good outing in Russia later this year

Sofiane Boufal has stated the Morocco are not under any pressure whatsoever when the 2018 Fifa World Cup kicks off in June.

The Atlas Lions returned to the quadrennial showpiece since 1998 and have been paired with European heavyweights Portugal and Spain alongside Iran in Group B.

Ahead of the stern tests in Russia, Bofiane reflected on the team’s unbeaten run in the qualification series and hopes the north African nation can steal the show in their group.

"I'm so happy and so proud to be in this team because we had a very good qualification," Boufal told BBCSport.

"The most important thing now is to have a good World Cup. We have nothing to lose. We need to play without pressure and hope to do well."

Morocco will be aiming to equal their best performance in a World Cup by qualifying to the second round when they start their campaign against Iran on June 15 at the Saint Petersburg Stadium.
