‘Mohamed Salah will stay at Liverpool,’ insists Shay Given

The former Magpies goalkeeper is certain that there will be interests for the Egypt international in the summer following his imperious form this term

Newcastle United legend Shay Given believes Mohamed Salah will stay at Liverpool beyond this season.

The 25-year-old has been in a spectacular form since joining the Anfield giants last summer, scoring 41 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions.

On Sunday, the attacker was rewarded by his colleagues for his exceptional performance this term with the PFA Player of the Year prize.

And the ex-England international admitted that the desire to make history with the Reds should make the former Roma star remain with the club.

"There will be clubs sniffing around him so it will be interesting to see what Liverpool do," Given told Premier League Daily.
