The African Player of the Year has added another feather to his cap after being honoured by the Anfield supporters

Mohamed Salah has been named Liverpool’s Player of the Month for December following his eye-catching display in the month under review.

The Egypt international has now scooped the award for the fourth time since his arrival from Roma in the summer.

Salah scored six goals in eight appearances last month to help Jurgen Klopp’s men reach the knock stage of the Champions League and also maintain their place in the English Premier League top-four.

On receiving the award, the 25-year-old expressed his pleasure to take home the prestigious prize once more.

"I'm very happy to win this award again,” Salah told the club website.

"It's always a good feeling for me to win this award because you work hard, you help the team to get points to achieve something.

"As I said before, the most important thing is to win the games, and we try to win each game.

"We are working [well] at the moment, we are [picking up] points, so we are in a good position - we have to carry on now."

Salah has scored 23 goals this season for Liverpool and will be looking to add to the tally when they slug it out with Manchester City on Sunday.
