Modern Coast Rangers in slim win as Kibera Black Stars bounce back after setback

Modern Coast Rangers fell 2-1 away against FC Talanta in a National Super League match played at Camp Toyoyo on Wednesday.

After a barren first half, the hosts managed to get two quick goals after 60 minutes had gone courtesy of Shem Odinga and Abdul Wahab with the Coastal-based side getting their consolation in the stoppages through former Ushuru FC man Roosvelt Blatty.

Godfrey Oduor led Kibera Black Stars bounced from last weekend's defeat to trounce visiting Green Commandos 2-1 at the same venue. The ‘slum boys’ hit the back of the net through Jullius Masaba and Nicodemus Onyango, with Castro Likhanga hitting a consolation for the school boys.

On Saturday, Administration Police and Green Commandos will be squaring it out in the battle for survival. The two sides are not yet safe with five matches to complete the season. GFE 105 will also be aiming at getting out of the danger zone with a huge task of downing FC Talanta.

Another interesting fixture on Saturday will be between struggling Nakuru All Stars against Coast Stima. On Sunday, leaders Western Stima will have to prove how strong they are when they face fellow heavy weights in Nairobi City Stars at Moi Stadium, Kisumu with KCB facing Kenya Police at Camp Toyoyo.

Ken Kenyatta led Ushuru FC will host Kangemi All Stars at the same venue.
