Modern Coast Rangers coach Ahmed Mchulla Mohaa is upbeat despite the team losing 1-0 to Vihiga United last weekend.

Speaking during a post match interview, Mohaa said the boys played well and were only unlucky to conced the goal in the last minute. "We played well and defended well with good organization. Our opponents played too much long balls but we were able to contain them. However, it was by bad luck that we conceded a goal in the last minute."

The match was destined for a barren draw until the dying minutes when Patrick Okullo scored the all important goal for Vihiga United, whose hopes to participate in the top tier Kenya Premier League were dashed after Sports Dispute Tribunal reinstated Sofapaka and Muhoroni Youth.

It was Rangers first defeat in the league from four matches played. Before the match the Mombasa-based club drew 1-1 with Nairobi City Stars and 2-2 against Palos while they smacked MOCSA 2-0.

Rangers will host Bidco United in their next league match on Thursday at KPA Mbaraki Sports Club, kick-off 11:00pm.
