Zanzibar have dropped a strong warning signal on the doors of their ‘brothers’ from Tanzania ahead of the much-anticipated clash in the ongoing Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup.
The two countries will square it out in a must-win Group A duel at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Thursday.
Tanzania needs to win their next match to revive chances of progressing to the next stage but Zanzibar’s forward, Mohamed Issa say they will not make it easy for their ‘big brothers’.
Issa, who was voted Man of the Match in Zanzibar’s 3-1 win over Rwanda, said that they will apply the same anti-dot they used to neutralize Amavubi when they face Kilimanjaro Stars.
“We are going to slay them just the same way we did to Rwanda if they are not careful enough. We came here for war,” Issa, who scored Zanzibar's second goal against Rwanda told Goal.
Zanzibar sits second on the log with three points, just one point adrift of Group leaders Kenya. Libya are third with two points followed by Tanzania on one while Rwanda are bottom with no point after losing their first two games.
The two-week tournament takes a break on Wednesday but action resumes on Thursday.
