MFM's Ilechukwu unimpressed despite victory against FC IfeanyiUbah

Although the Olukoya Boys nicked their second win of the season, their gaffer is not convinced by the display from his team

MFM coach Fidelis Ilechukwu is not impressed with his side’s performance despite their 2-1 victory over FC IfeanyiUbah at the Agege Stadium.

The Olukoya Boys bounced back to winning ways after suffering a 3-1 loss in an away outing against El Kanemi Warriors at the weekend.

A strike from Jesse Akila with Issif Traore's own goal rendered Pascal Seka's effort a mere consolation as the Lagos side secured their second win of the season.

And, although, the MFM’s boss is delighted with the victory, he opines that the team are still not where he expects them to be.

“I am very happy it is a great one I thank God for the win it is not an easy game but I am happy we won the match,” Ilechukwu told Goal .

“Honestly our team has not been in their best and I wasn’t expecting the boys to put up this kind of performance.

“I am not really impressed by the performance of my team but I think we are coming up.

“This game is better than our last game [against El Kanemi]. We are coming up. This game is quite difficult because IfeanyiUbah is a big team but I give glory to God we won.

“This team is not like our last season’s team. There are still lots of lapses in the team but we are going to put things in place,” he concluded.

The victory has taken the Olukoya Boys to 13th spot in the log with six points from four games.
