Medhi Benatia wins Juventus’ player of the month award

The 30-year-old put up stellar performances after his return from injury and his impact has been rewarded by the club

Medhi Benatia has clinched Juventus’ player of the month award for November.

The Morocco international, after recovering from an injury he picked in October, was inspirational at the heart of the Old Lady’s defence last month.

Benatia helped Massimiliano Allegri’s men to clean sheets against in their draw and win over Barcelona and Crotone respectively. The former Bayern Munich defender also scored his first goal of the season in the 3-0 win over Davide Nicola’s charges on November 26.

Benatia will be looking to continue his impressive showing when Juventus welcome league leaders Inter Milan to the Allianz Stadium on Saturday.

The Turin outfit are currently third in the Italian Serie A standings, two points behind the Black and Blues.
