The Yellow and Mauve manager is delighted with his charges performance in their 2-0 victory over the Blues

Medeama coach Evans Adotey says he is excited with the performance of his players in their 2-0 victory over Bechem United in matchday 12 of the Ghana Premier League on Saturday at the T&A Park.

A first-half goal from the spot by Paul Aidoo and another strike from Amos Korankye, were enough to break down a resilient 10-man Bechem defence. The win has seen Medeama move five places up to seventh on the log with 14 points ahead of the Sunday fixtures.

“It is a good win for us. My boys did well against Bechem United and it is an important win because this win will help us meet our target this season,” Adotey said.

“Coming into the season, we set a target but things weren’t going on well so winning this particular game gives us confidence ahead of the remaining matches. I'm excited with the players output and if they continue to adhere to advise and play to our game plans, we will continue to have results such as this and finish the season on a high note,” he said.

He added: "Now, our next target is Ashanti Gold in Obuasi. We know they are having a bad season in the league but we can't underrate them. We need to be fully prepared since they will be hoping to turn around results in a bid to survive relegation scares."
