The teenage forward is being tipped to take his game to even greater heights after leaving the reigning Ligue 1 champions for Paris Saint-Germain

Kamil Glik admits Kylian Mbappe is the best player he has worked with, placing him above the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Andrea Belotti.

The teenage forward spent just one season working with Glik at Monaco, but it proved to be a memorable campaign as the Ligue 1 title was wrestled away from Paris Saint-Germain.

Mbappe contributed significantly to that success, plundering 15 goals in the French top-flight and 26 across all competitions.

Those efforts helped to earn him a move to PSG which will eventually cost the capital giants €180 million, and Glik believes the 18-year-old will take his game to even greater heights in the years to come.

A man who has represented Palermo, Torino and Monaco while earning 55 caps for Poland told Pilka Nozna on Mbappe: "Kylian is a nice boy. He is not yet 19 years old. He did not go crazy when the media storm erupted around him.

“I do not know what his situation is today, but here in Monaco we took care to nurture him.

“He has pressure, but his head is on his shoulders, which means he can be even better. I am convinced that once he has matured further, he will get to the top. I would say that a bright future awaits him.

“He can be a world leader, I have no doubt. He is certainly one of the three best players I have played with. Maybe even the best.”

Glik joined Monaco in the summer of 2016 having spent five years with Torino, during which time he spent one campaign alongside prolific Italy international Belotti.

He has also enjoyed many productive outings as part of a Poland side which includes Lewandowski, with the Bayern Munich striker now the all-time leading goalscorer for his country with 51 efforts in 91 appearances.

Mbappe has some way to go before reaching a similar level, but his potential is already marking him out as a potential superstar and future recipient of notable records and top prizes such as the prestigious Ballon d’Or.
