The Bucs senior player has explained that their current poor form is frustrating them

Orlando Pirates defender Thabo Matlaba says they have been conceding silly goals and he admits that they haven’t been able to solve the problem.

“Things are not looking good. We have been conceding silly goals - it happened in our last game. It has been a problem that has not been solved,” Matlaba told Daily Sun.

Pirates are coming off a 3-2 defeat in their last league encounter away to Free State Stars. The defeat stretched their league winless run to 12 matches.

“We lost focus and they scored in the opening three minutes of the game! We are hurting more than the fans, this is our work, we get paid to play football,” he said.

“We have been trying to find solutions to ensure we don’t concede again on Saturday. Luck is not on our side but we are doing our best for the team,” Matlaba concluded.

Bucs have a chance to redeem themselves when they face on Ea Lla Koto in the Nedbank Cup last 16 clash on Saturday.
