The ‘slum boys’ have confirmed that they have parted ways with Ndege after they failed to agree on contractual terms

Mathare United have failed in their bid to keep hold of striker Obadiah Ndege for another season.

Ndege joined the ‘Slum Boys’ at the beginning of 2016 and was very instrumental for the Francis Kimanzi coached side in the season.

The club has however confirmed that he will no longer be part of them after reaching a mutual agreement of cutting ties. "Obadiah Ndege will not be part of the team for the 2017 campaign after both parties agreed to part ways on mutual consent following the expiry of his one year deal. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors."

Mathare United have lost key players in the transfer window with notable names being Robinson Kamura, Whyvonne Isuza (both have joined AFC Leopards) and keeper Robert Mboya, who is reportedly heading to KPL newbies Kariobangi Sharks.
