Mathare United new catch Elijah Mwanzia was not impressed by his debut display for the 'slum boys' against Zoo Kericho on Sunday.

Mwanzia, who joined the Francis Kimanzi coached side on transfer deadline day, started for the bottom placed side in the 0-0 draw at Kericho Green Stadium. “I am very happy to have played my first match. It has not been easy because I have had to work very hard to reach this point,” Mwanzi told the club's official website.

“I was not impressed by my performance but I hope for a better show next time. My target is to work harder and help my team to win at least by scoring in the next three matches.”

Mathare hosts Sony Sugar in the round of 16 league match on July 15 in Nairobi.
