Mathare United shared spoils with a lower league club in a Thursday friendly match

Kenyan Premier League outfit Mathare United have registered a 1-1 draw against lower league side Fresha in a friendly match played on Thursday at the Goan Institute.

The visitors were the first to score courtesy of Francis Masika in the 42nd minute, who converted a penalty following Andrew Juma’s foul, before the 'Slum Boys'equalized matters in the second half.

Former Coast Stima genius Elijah Mwanzia was the one with the equalizer in a match where 16-year old Bixente Otieno was also handed a senior team experience by Coach Francis Kimanzi.

Mathare United take a three-days rest until Monday March 6 as they prepare ahead of league kick-off.
