After a two-week break, the Ghana Premier League returns with matchday nine matches this weekend.

Tied at the top of the table with with Aduana Stars, Asante Kotoko have a chance to take over the position temporarily as the 'Ogya' Boys have their clash with Wa All Stars postponed due to the reigning champions' participation at the Wafu tournament in Senegal. That match, through, will come off on Wednesday.

Asante Kotoko could go three points clear with victory over Inter Allies at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday.

Same day, we have a battle for the third position on our hands. Tied on 14 points, Bechem United and Wafa go face to face at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.

Fresh from their 1-0 victory over Asante Kotoko in matchday eight's Super Clash, Hearts of Oak have a chance to move up from the sixth position. The Phobians, however, will have to do it the hard way when they face Berekum Chelsea in away fixture at the Golden City Park.

Tema Youth chase their fourth win of the season when they host Medeama at the Tema Stadium.

Ashanti Gold will have to do without head coach Bashir Hayford, who resigned on Friday, in their welcome of Bolga All Stars to the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

Great Olympics are still on the search for a first win on the pitch. The 'Dade' Boys face Ebusua Dwarfs at the Accra Sports Stadium, with pressure ever mounting on coach Godwin Attram.

But earlier on Saturday, newly-promoted Elmina Sharks will lock horns with Liberty Professionals at the Nduom Stadium.
