The striker previews Sunday's Group H fixture against the Samurai Blue

Senegal star Sadio Mane says the Teranga Lions are ready to give their all when they come up against Japan at the Fifa World Cup on Sunday.

Aliou Cisse's outfit are hoping to make it two wins in a row in Group H, on the back of a 2-1 opening day triumph over Poland.

Sunday's fixture at Yekaterinburg's Central Stadium will be the fourth international meeting between the two sides at senior men's level.

"Honestly, it’s going to be a beautiful match," Mane said at the pre-match conference on Saturday

"The Japanese team knows how to play and they’re aggressive. We also have a great team, we know how to handle the ball.

"What’s most important for us is to have solidarity and run together. We want to give everything for the country.

"We can’t focus on a player because that can sometimes send you in the wrong direction.

"We respect them, they deserve to be here. During our tournament, we’re only going to focus on ourselves."

Undoubtedly the biggest name on Senegal's team sheet, Mane has featured prominently in the build-up to games.

The Liverpool striker, however, wants the talks to centre on the Teranga Lions as a unit.

"I think it’s a personal pride to hear everyone talking about me," Mane added.

"It’s a trap to be avoided. What’s important is the whole group.

"We have to concentrate on ourselves. We have great supporting staff. We trust them. It’s always the team, that’s the important thing.

"The boss is doing all of the work, doing the strategy, and it’s worked really well. If there’s an anti-Sadio Mane plan, there’s not going to be any worries.

"The group is very important."
