Man Utd and Inter set for Mkhitaryan swap


Manchester United are ready to let Henrikh Mkhitaryan leave for Inter, with Joao Mario heading the other direction, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Inter paid €40m for Joao Mario last summer, while Manchester United spent €42m on Mkhitaryan, with both teams looking to work out a straight swap for players who have yet to settle in after big-money moves.


Lemar decides to join Liverpool

Monaco star Thomas Lemar has decided to join Liverpool ahead of Arsenal and Manchester United, according to Yahoo Sports

Arsenal tried to sign Lemar last summer, but failed to finalise a €95 million deal on deadline day which, in turn, prevented Alexis Sanchez from joining Manchester City.

Liverpool were also interested in Lemar in the last transfer window and are ready to make a renewed push to sign the France international in January, with Barcelona trying to agree a deal for Philippe Coutinho.

Manchester United have also been linked with Lemar, but the winger has decided he wants to join Liverpool and he could become the replacement for Coutinho at Anfield.


Man Utd want three January signings

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho wants to sign three players during the January transfer window, according to the MailOnline

Mourinho is keen to strengthen his squad in the coming weeks and has identified the areas where he is demanding fresh faces.

Agents have been alerted to United’s desire to sign a right-back, left-back and attacking midfielder as Mourinho tries to address ongoing issues within his squad.


Max keen on Premier League move

Augsburg left-back Philipp Max is keen on a move to the Premier League but doesn’t expect to change clubs in the January transfer window.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool have all been linked with an approach for Max, who is under contract at Augsburg until 2022.

The 24-year-old said: "I have a contract with Augsburg. In football, you can never rule anything out but I firmly believe that in the second half [of the season] I will play for FCA."

Ozil yet to make future decision

Arsenal finally opened talks with Mesut Ozil’s representative last month over a contract extension but the German star has yet to make a decision on his future Goal understands.

Ozil is out of contract at the end of the season, and has attracted interest from the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

He recently bought a new house in London and enjoys life in the capital with a close circle of friends from Turkey and Germany as he continues to consider his options.

Mourinho frustrated over Rose deal

Jose Mourinho is frustrated with Manchester United chief Ed Woodward for his unwillingness to sign Danny Rose from Tottenham, according to the Daily Mirror.

Mourinho is keen to strengthen his side as they look to compete with Manchester City, and believes Rose may be available for around £50m.

However, Woodward has told Mourinho that he will either have to sell players first or wait until the summer, much to the chagrin of the Portuguese.


Milinkovic-Savic rules out Lazio exit

Sergej MIlinkovic-Savic has ruled out leaving Lazio amid reported interest from Manchester United.

The Serbia international has been one of the most impressive players in Serie A this season, with the Red Devils rumoured to be planning a £95 million bid.

Paris Saint-Germain are also keen, but the 22-year-old insists he does not want to leave Rome.

Diarra close to PSG move

Paris Saint-Germain are close to completing a move for former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder Lassana Diarra, according to SFR Sport .

The France international had his contract at Al Jazira cancelled in December, with Manchester United and AC Milan among the clubs keen on signing him.

But Diarra is now in advanced talks with the Ligue 1 leaders, with the deal set to be completed before the end of the week.


Kroos to be sold to Man United

Madrid want Neymar to be the long-term replacement for Ronaldo, though the club will have to comply with FFP, and even the sale of Gareth Bale may not be enough to meet the regulations, with the German tabbed as the additional fall guy. 

PSG and Manchester City are also being tabbed as potential buyers for Kroos. 


Romero wants Man Utd exit

Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero wants to leave Old Trafford in the January transfer window, according to  The Independent .

The Argentina international is concerned he will miss out on the World Cup if he is not playing regular football.

Sources close to the player suggest he has received offers from Spain and Argentina, as well as from elsewhere in the Premier League.


Darmian's agent plays down transfer speculation

Matteo Darmian has attracted interest from Serie A clubs but Manchester United do not want to sell the defender, according to his agent .

The Italy international has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford in the transfer window, having managed only two starts in the Premier League this season.

Roma are reportedly keen to bring him to the Stadio Olimpico but Tullio Tinti says they have not made an offer and insists United want to keep him for now.

Manchester United only have until May to exercise a clause in Juan Mata's contract that allows them to renew his current deal until 2019, claims a report in AS .

Mata has emerged as an important player for Jose Mourinho's first-team squad, although the Red Devils could lose him for nothing in the summer unless the clause is activated within the next four months or brand new terms are agreed.
