Antonio Conte's men make the trip north-west to face Pep Guardiola's seemingly unstoppable outfit, who recently handed Arsenal a double beating

Manchester City will look to take another step closer to Premier League glory when they host Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola's side secured their 24th league win out of a possible 28 when they beat Arsenal 3-0 on Thursday and they need just five more wins to clinch the title.

Antonio Conte's men, meanwhile, find themselves in a battle to secure a top-four finish after recent results saw them tumble down to fifth in the table.

City overcame the defending champions back in September when they played at Stamford Bridge, but it was a close game and Sunday should be a similarly tight match.

Pep Guardiola Antonio Conte Chelsea Manchester City

The difference in fortunes between Chelsea and Man City this season can be summed up by the fact that 22 points separate them coming into their second encounter of the campaign.

Conte, whose Blues side battled their way to Premier League glory last term, has looked on with envy as his counterpart Guardiola cruises towards the finish line this season and he admitted that City sometimes seem "unstoppable".

"We must have great admiration. Sometimes it is very difficult to find a weakness in this team," the Blues boss said, adding: "Manchester City has the possibility to spend a lot of money. When you link this situation - a good manager, much money to spend in the transfer market, the same ambition - this is the final result."

The Italian coach finds himself under increasing pressure at Chelsea, but he could serve his detractors a reminder of his quality by getting one over on Guardiola's seemingly invulnerable team.

A win would keep them within touching distance of the top four, but failure to pick up three points will be a blow to their hopes of ensuring Champions League football next season.

Notably, however, Conte's men have had a longer period of rest than their hosts, having not played since February 25, and they will be eager to take advantage.
