Mamelodi Sundowns look to tie down their star full-back

Mamelodi Sundowns full-back Tebogo Langerman is reportedly set to be rewarded with a new contract at the club.

The 31-year-old has been at Chloorkop since 2012 and despite Masandawana having recently brought on board Algerian Fares Hachi at the beginning of 2017 in order to give Langerman some much needed competition, the veteran has remained unfazed and continues to be first choice in Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane’s starting XI.

Nonetheless, with Langerman now in his final six months of his current deal in Tshwane, the Brazilians are looking to avoid losing him at the end of the season, and reports suggest that negotiations are set to be concluded soon.

Langerman is amongst several others at the club including Tiyani Mabunda and Khama Billiat whose contracts have been allowed to run into their last year, but it is believed that Sundowns’ management will conclude all negotiations in the coming weeks to avoid a mass exodus at the club.

Sundowns recently tied down the likes of Themba Zwane, Motjeka Madisha, Siyanda Zwane and Kennedy Mweene, and it remains to be seen when the club will make an announcement regarding their other key players who are soon to be out-of-contract.
