Majeed Waris missing in Lorient’s preseason training

Abdul Majeed Waris was due to make his return to Espace Kerlir for Lorient’s first training session on Monday but the Ghanaian forward did not show up.

The 25-year-old’s absence has fuelled speculation that he may be joining Benjamin Moukandjo through the exit door at the Brittany side.

Majeed is a reported transfer target of many English, Turkish and German clubs but it remains to be seen where he will be heading.

Super Lig side Bursaspor were the last side to make contact and are expected to dash out a whopping €6 million to Les Merlus for the attacker.
