Magical Musonda leads the way for Chelsea's young stars

Antonio Conte saw his side dominate their lower league opponents as he handed debuts and overdue starts to a host of younger players

Michy Batshuayi's hat-trick and a set of dazzling displays from several youngsters, including Charly Musonda Jr., meant Chelsea eased to victory in a perfect night for the club.

Antonio Conte's dream would have been to have the game won by half-time and to bring on some of his kids, and that's exactly what happened as Ethan Ampadu became Chelsea's ninth youngest player of all-time. Nottingham Forest were battered in a 5-1 defeat with Kenedy and Musonda notching strikes alongside Batshuayi.

The 17-year-old was joined by Dujon Sterling, who made his professional debut from the bench after a season in the academy where he won an unprecedented quadruple.

Chelsea have an embarrassment of young talent and Jake Clarke-Salter made his second appearance for the club from the bench as Conte rested a host of players for a difficult upcoming period. Eden Hazard went through the motions but completed his first 90 minutes since May as well.

Talking of the academy, Andreas Christensen was another who started and there's very much a feeling that he is the one who has already 'made it'.

Stoke City, Atletico Madrid and Manchester City are coming up but Chelsea's match against Forest is exactly what they needed to prepare for harder days.
