The Pride of Benue forward said he's aware it will be difficult for all the strikers in the domestic league to be invited but will wait for his time

Lobi Stars striker, Anthony Okpotu says he is unfazed by his omission from the 30-man list for next month's 2018 African Nations Championship qualifiers.

Okpotu notched his 13th goal of the season in the Ortom Boys' 3-2 win over Remo Stars and the forward is certain he will have his own chance.

“I want to state that we cannot all be called up at the same time to the national team,” Okpotu told Goal.

"The coaches have made their choice and we must support them. I am certain my time will come and if there is another opportunity extended to me I will gracefully honour it. I want to keep on helping my team to do well in the remaining matches of the league season and in the Federation Cup too.

“The weekend game has come and gone and we knew we would beat Remo Stars despite their resilience. We really wanted to gain the three points to improve our league spot on the table and to have scored one of the goals is even more exhilarating.

"I will keep on trying my best while hoping that my best will earn me a place in the team when there is time for a review of the team.”
