The forward says his next aim is to better last season's goals tally ahead of their home tie with the Sky Blue Stars

Lobi Stars striker, Anthony Okpotu believes he has the potentials to surpass the number of goals he scored last season.

Okpotu netted 12 times last season and his goal in last week's 2-1 loss to Katsina United saw him match the feat.

“I thank God for the goals I have scored. I know I am still going to get more before the season ends. I initially set the objective of getting the ones I got last season and now that I have just met up with that, I am setting another objective of getting more and with the league matches remaining I am very confident that I can get few more goals,” Okpotu told Goal.

“Remo Stars won’t have it easy at all against us because we are not ready to play any soft at all. We want to return to winning ways after the disappointing loss to Katsina United. We won’t take them for granted even though they are at the bottom of the league table.”

Lobi are seventh on the league table with 42 points from 28 matches.
