Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah clinches third PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been named the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for February.

The 25-year-old clinched the monthly award for the third time after his haul of four goals and two assists in three league games after previous successes in November and December.

Salah notched a brace against Tottenham Hotspur in a league meeting on February 4 as the Reds were held to a 2-2 draw by Mauricio Pochettino's side at Anfield.

The Egyptian also grabbed a goal and an assist in each games against Southampton and West Ham United on February 11 and 24 respectively as Jurgen Klopp’s men extended their unbeaten run to five games in the English top-flight since their loss against Swansea City on January 22.

Salah took 37 percent of the total votes to fend off competition from Stoke City’s Jack Butland, Manchester United’s Chris Smalling, Brighton and Hove Albion’s Pascal Gross and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.
