Liverpool v Burnley Betting: Klopp's men to bounce back after Sevilla stalemate

A couple of poor results after the international break mean the Reds are off the pace but they should edge out the Clarets in a goal-fest at Anfield

Liverpool welcome Burnley to Anfield as they look to get their season back on track following two disappointing results.

After a 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Manchester City, a game marred by Sadio Mane’s contentious red card, the Reds then conceded late to draw 2-2 at home to Sevilla on Wednesday night after missing a penalty and spurning a whole host of other chances.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have won five of their last six against the Clarets though and have only lost once in this fixture – a 2-0 reverse at Turf Moor last August – and they can be backed on bet365 at 2/7 (1.29) to claim the points.

Burnley have begun this season in good form, famously beating Chelsea and drawing with Spurs on the road, before edging Crystal Palace last Sunday, and as such there will be an air of confidence surrounding Sean Dyche’s men.

The visitors are quoted at 8/1 (9.0) to come out on top at a ground they haven’t won at since 1974, whilst the draw can be backed at 19/4 (5.75).

Even without the suspended Mane in attack, Liverpool have a wealth of attacking options and you can back Roberto Firmino at 7/2 (4.50) to score first.

The Merseysiders have scored eight times in the league this season, and six of their seven matches in all competitions have seen over 2.5 goals – which is priced at 4/7 (1.57) to happen again on Saturday.

Burnley’s £15 million man Chris Wood has netted in both his Premier League games so far this season, and he is out at a huge 12/1 (13.0) to stun the home crowd and bag first.

Three of Liverpool's four Premier League game this season have seen over 3.5 goals, whilst Burnley have found the net in three of their four matches; and given that everyone, except seemingly Klopp, knows that Liverpool’s defence is error-prone, Liverpool to win and both teams to score at 15/8 (2.88) could prove to be the best value for punters.
