Yanga’s bid for Lipuli attacking midfielder Adam Salamba has been rejected Goal has learned.
Lipuli informed Salamba of their decision when General Secretary Amos Lweramila met the player and his representative for summit talks at the club.
In the letter which was written by the club to Yanga, Lipuli said that they will not allow such a move at this time because it is against the order of FIFA, CAF and TFF.
Lipuli claimed that, FIFA, CAF and TFF regulations do not allow one player to serve more than two clubs in a single season.
“We received the letter from Yanga but all we can say is that it is impossible for us to allow our player to join Yanga this time, this is because FIFA, CAF and TFF regulations do not allow one player to serve in more than two clubs in a single season,” quoted the letter.
Salamba joined Lipuli in the January transfer window from Stand United. If he wil be allowed to join Yanga it will be his third team within a season.
Yanga requested to use Salamba in the CAF Confederation Cup where they are in the group stage and return him to his team once the new League season starts.
