Leipzig refuse to sell Liverpool target Naby Keita

The German side have told Liverpool that the 22-year-old is not for sale at any price

Guinean midfielder and Liverpool transfer target Naby Keita is not for sale, Red Bull Leipzig have reiterated.

Following a superb breakout season with Leipzig, Keita has emerged as one of the most sought after transfer targets in the current window.

In which he helped them to a surprise runner-up finish in the Bundesliga and saw them qualify for their maiden Champions League campaign.

Liverpool have been the most persuasive in their pursuit for the Guinean international and according to Sky Sports, Leipzig have already rejected a bid of more than £57-million from the Reds.

Keita is reportedly flattered by the prospect of moving to the Premier League and Jurgen Klopp’s side are expected to return with another offer this week.

But the German side remains adamant that the 22-year-old is not leaving and this was reiterated further by the side’s coach Ralph Hasenhuttl.

"It's a huge compliment for us that we awoke such desires, but it's not the general idea of our path to allow players a transfer following the first available offer," Husenhuttl was quoted saying.
