The Black Stars coach has unveiled a list of home-based players to step up preparations for clash with Burkina Faso

Ghana have invited 28 players for the next phase of preparations for the upcoming African Nations Championship qualifiers.

The all-home-based team is set to open camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Monday.

Hearts of Oak wing-back Thomas Abbey keeps his place in coach Kwesi Appiah's squad, having hit 10 goals so far in the Ghana Premier League, only two goals shy of top scorer and Ivorian Amed Toure, who plays for Bechem United.

Second highest scorer Nicholas Gyan, who has just a goal less than Toure for Ebusua Dwarfs, failed to make the cut.

Ghana play away to Burkina Faso in the second round of the Chan qualifiers on August 11 before hosting the second leg a week later.
