Bandari started the match on a brighter winning an early corner that was taken by Jacob Keli, but it bore no fruits. Ten minutes into the game, and it was the hosts (Kariobangi Sharks) who threatened in the 11th minute, as Juma Masoud's cross was spilled by goalkeeper Wilson Obungu, but no one was there to follow up.
Jacob Keli, who was impressive the whole afternoon, tried the goalkeeper with a good shot in the 14th minute, but it did not trouble the latter who was in the right place.
Kariobangi Sharks pressed hard creating several chances, but the most effective one was in the 33rd minute. Calvin Odongo received a good pass from Bolton Omwenga, and the speedy forward controlled it well and put it past Obungu.
First-half ended in Kariobangi Sharks' favour, with the visitors lucky not to have conceded more, thanks to wastefulness by the hosts.
After the break, it was the promoted side that continued with their good game as Bandari were reduced to chasing shadows. Juma had an opportunity to double the advantage with half-an-hour remaining, but his shot was blocked.
Not even the introduction of Enock Agwanda could change a thing for the Dockers who had defeated Nzoia Sugar 2-1 in the midweek match. But for Sharks, it was another massive three points.
