Otieno was a free agent after he refused to extend his stay at The Den when his contract expired in December.
Batoto ba Mungu have confirmed the acquisition of the former Posta Rangers keeper, as a cover for Mathias Kigonya and newly signed Reuben Juma from Nairobi City Stars.
Otieno is now looking ahead to fight for his place in the team. “Yes, I have had experience playing at Ingwe and Rangers and I think it’s time Sofapaka also had the privilege to enjoy my services.
“Playing for a big club like Sofapaka is one thing and delivering quite another. I mean, all players are paid to play and are thus duty-bound to ensure Sofapaka is a force to reckon with in Kenya and outside its borders.”
The decision to sign for Sofapaka comes hours after Goal reported that the player was in the radar of Zimbabwean champions Platinum FC.
