The newcomers have released four players and confirmed two signings as they beef up squad in June transfer window

Nakumatt FC has confirmed the release of four players among them former AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia players.

As explained to Goal by Secretary General Albert Wesonga, the club is on the verge of strengthening the team and it had to do away with 'fringe' players, who are not much effective to the side that was promoted this season. "We have released four players as we are speaking, Wanyonyi (Timonah), Mwanzo (Cresten), Ochieng' (Erick), and Ndege (Obadiah).

"We opted against extending Mwanzo and Ochieng's contracts because we felt we do not need them for the remaining part of the campaign."

Nakumatt has since signed Jackson Saleh, who was a free agent after being released from Western Stima, and former FT Talanta midfielder Victor Okulu as the club aims at a top eight finish at the end of the current season.
