Sofapaka have secured services of Modern Coast striker Francis Ochola, Goal can reveal.

Sofapaka President Elly Kalekwa has confirmed the arrival of the former Western Stima striker ahead of second leg kick off.

Ochola, who has penned a two year deal with Batoto Ba Mungu, was one of the most sought after players in June transfer window, after topping Modern Coast scoring chart in current season.

Ochola featured for Sofapaka as they battled to a 2-2 draw against National Super League side Nairobi City Stars in a friendly played on Wednesday at the Eastleigh grounds.

Kalekwa believes that the new signing will add the much needed power up front as the team strives to win the league title this season. “He is officially our player. We have given him two year contract."

Ochola becomes the 14th signing for Sofapaka besides Timothy Luda from Thika United, Abdulatif Omar and Meshack Karani, both who joined from Kakamega Homeboyz.

Other new players are Hillary Echesa, Willis Ouma (from Chemelil Sugar), Umar Kasumba (from Uganda), Wesley Onguso (from Western Stima) and Moren Otinya from (Palos FC). Sofapaka will face Nakumatt in a league match on Saturday.
