Zoo Kericho registered their first goal of the season as Western Stima suffer another defeat to sink in relegation zone

Zoo Kericho finally got their first point of the 2017 Kenyan Premier League season from a 1-1 draw against Nzoia Sugar on Saturday.

Their main forward Mike Madoya scored in the 35th minute to cancel out Lawrence Juma’s 24th minute goal; a result which was carried to the final-whistle.

Nzoia Sugar will, however, cry of a wasted opportunity which came their way in the 18th minute when former AFC Leopards defender Edwin Wafula missed a penalty.

At Machakos County Stadium, Western Stima fell again after suffering a 2-0 defeat at the hands of newbies Nakumatt FC. Peter Nzuki and former AFC Leopards striker Kepha Aswani scored one goal each in the match whose result saw Western Stima drop to position 17 on the log.

Muhoroni Youth silenced Sony Sugar with a 2-0 beating at Muhoroni Stadium to take their points-tally to seven from six matches at a time when Sofapaka and Kakamega Homeboyz battled to a goalless draw at Camp Toyoyo ground.

Posta Rangers had earlier on edged out Kariobangi Sharks to stay at the top of the table following Gor Mahia's 0-0 draw against Tusker.
