The Porcupine Warriors communication director has lauded the qualities of the Danish managers but has declined to shed light on his reported move

Asante Kotoko communication director Obed Acheampong has refused to confirmed reports linking his side to Ove Pederson as new manager, after he watched the club last weekend at Ghana's 60th anniversary challenge cup in Accra.

The Porcupine Warriors are reportedly discussing a move for the 62-year-old, to replace Zdravko Lugurasic, who was sacked last month. Frimpong Manso is now acting as caretaker coach.

“Ove Pedersen is a good coach that's all I can say at the moment,” Acheampong told Vision 1 Radio.

“Whether he is coming to manage Asante Kotoko in the second half of the season or not will be determined by time. I'm not aware of any decision taken by the management or the board of directors about him,” he added.

Kotoko have gone six league games without a win, falling four places to fifth with 20 points, nine behind leaders Wafa. They will travel to Accra to lock horns with Great Olympics in matchday 14 on Saturday.
