The deputy Ghana coach says his outfit will need to be at their best to stop a talented Indomitable Lions side

Ghana assistant coach Maxwell Konadu is not lost on the possible threat of Cameroon in their Africa Cup of Nations encounter on Thursday.

The Black Stars face the Indomitable Lions in the semi-finals at Stade de Franceville in Gabon.

Cameroon come into the game following a shootout win over Senegal in the quarter-finals, having as well progressed from a tough group involving hosts Gabon, Burkina Faso and Guinea Bissau.

“The Cameroonians are a bunch of talented players who have survived very difficult teams in the competition," Konadu said, as reported by GNA.

"Therefore, my team will need to put in extra effort to overcome them.

“If you analyze their group very well, you will understand their strength: they came out of a very difficult group and succeeded in eliminating host nation Gabon from the competition.

“They were also responsible for the elimination of Senegal - the hot favourites for the competition - so they are not a side that can be underrated.

“We must work hard if we are to defeat them and progress to the finals of the competition."
