Komphela hails Kaizer Chiefs ability to score from all angles

Comments
Amakhosi have been firing on all cylinders of late, winning their last four games which sees them among the pacesetters at the top of the league log

Kaizer Chiefs have also been firing in goals from all angles especially from midfield with Siphiwe Tshabalala and Willard Katsande the main culprits in this regard.

Chiefs coach Steve Komphela believes that it’s a reflection of their performances as a team of late.

“Maybe it’s a reflection of our performances as a team,” Komphela told the Sowetanlive.

Amakhosi are currently the third highest goal-scorers behind the Tshwane outfits SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns.

Komphela is extremely pleased that they are getting them from all angles of the pitch particularly from set-pieces.

“We are getting goals from all phases; balls coming from centre (areas), wide (and) from set-pieces. And when you look at it, we have scored 23 goals and the highest scores (SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns) are on 26,” Komphela said.

They will look to make it five wins in a row when they welcome the relegation-threatened Highlands Park at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.
