Harambee Stars have made huge steps in Fifa rankings after March friendlies

Harambee Stars have made ten steps up to settle at position 78 in the latest Fifa rankings.

The Stanley Okumbi coached outfit engaged in two international friendly matches during the March Fifa break and the results have finally bore fruits.

They recorded a 1-1 draw against Uganda and beat DR Congo 2-1; outcomes which have catapulted them to the position.

Uganda have risen to position 72, two places above their February ranking while DR Congo have dropped to position 41 from position 38.

Neighbours Tanzania have made a massive 22 steps up to settle at position 135 as Nigeria make one step up from position 41.

Ghana and South Africa have dropped two places each to stay at position 45 and 64 respectively at a time when Egypt lead Africa.

Worldwide, Brazil have beaten Argentina to rule the globe with Germany, Chile and Colombia coming third, fourth and fifth in that order.
