Kenya drops 10 places in latest Fifa rankings

Kenya lost 55 points from 463 as a result of Harambee Stars 1-2 lose to Sierra Leone in 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers

Kenya has dropped 10 places in the latest FIFA World rankings occupying position 84 from the previous 74 globally in the last ranking.

Kenya threw away 55 points out of 463 as a result of Harambee Stars' 1-2 lose to Sierra Leone during the first match of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on June 10th and a 0-0 draw against Malawi in a friendly match.

Regionally, Kenya is second after Uganda who occupy position 74th in the world while Tanzania are third (114) with Burundi and Rwanda completing the top five in that order.

Egypt is the top ranked team in Africa, though the Pharaoahs dropped four places globally to 24th while Senegal are second  (27) above Congo DR.

Confederation Cup champions Germany, world champions Brazil, Lionel Messi’s Argentina and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal takes the first four places globally. Germany was propelled to the summit by their victory over Chile in the Confederation Cup final while European champions Portugal climbed four places to fourth with Chile falling three places.
