Kaizer Chiefs forward Ryan Moon says he is learning from some of the best strikers in world football.

The 21-year-old has established himself as one of Amakhosi's key players having netted four goals in six PSL appearances this season.

Amakhosi head coach Steve Komphela recently likened Moon to a snake because he tends to go undetected in games until it comes time to hit the back of the net.

Speaking to the club's official website, Moon stated he was learning from accomplished strikers including his Chiefs team-mate Bernard Parker, who had a successful stint with Dutch side FC Twente.

"I watch a lot of different strikers. Here at Kaizer Chiefs, I learn a lot from Bernard Parker, who regularly talks to me what to do in certain situations," he said.

"Bernard played at the highest level in Europe and he mentors me a lot from what he learnt, which is fantastic. Otherwise, I look at all types of strikers – each has his own strength to learn from," he continued.

"The best examples to watch at the moment are, of course, Barcelona’s Luis Suárez and Tottenham Hotspurs’ Harry Kane. They are unbelievable," Moon revealed.

The former Maritzburg United frontman has been compared with legendary Italian striker Filippo Inzaghi, who is one of the most prolific goalscorers of all-time.

"It’s an immense honour to be compared with such a great striker. However, I have to work very hard to be able to achieve what Inzaghi has achieved," Moon said.

"There is still a long road to go. I just need to continue to work hard and stay focussed," he added.

The lanky forward, who has scored three goals in his last four league games, will be looking to continue his good form when Chiefs take on Lamontville Golden Arrows on Sunday.

Amakhosi will host Arrows in a Nedbank Cup Last 32 match at the FNB Stadium.
