Kago: Tusker will beat Yanga 2-0 in Super Cup

Midfielder Danson Kago is confident that the brewers will qualify for the semi-finals of the inaugural competition

Tusker FC is set to play Tanzania outfit Yanga on Monday at Uhuru Stadium, Dar es Salaam, in the SportPesa Super Cup.

The Kenyan champions have been in a fine form in the domestic league, winning six matches in a row. Midfielder Danson Kago is confident the brewers will qualify for the semi-finals.

"It is going to be a tough match but we are prepared for it. We have been doing well of late, meaning our level of confidence is high. I am sure we will beat Yanga I think 2-0. The environment is perfect and the spirit in the camp is high; it is going to be a very good match," Kago told Goal.

Club captain James Situma had earlier expressed optimism over the team's progression chances. "We want to give our best and win this tournament, the prize money is a motivation to us."

The winner will play either AFC Leopards or Singida in the semis of the competition.
