Juventus have shown they are on the same level as the best teams in Europe and that they are built to win the Champions League, according to Alessandro Del Piero.
After an impressive 3-0 win over Barcelona in the first leg of their quarter-final tie, the Serie A champions held Luis Enrique's men to a goalless draw in Camp Nou to seal their place in the last four for the second time in three seasons.
And Del Piero feels that, after losing to Barcelona in the final in 2015, they are ready to go on and claim the prized European title for the first time since 1996.
“They did everything they had to do without conceding anything to Barcelona,” Del Piero told Sky.
“Juventus reached the semi-finals for the second time in three years and that’s a very important thing.
"Two years ago, Juventus seemed in deficit compared with Barca, but you didn’t see that on the pitch, or even on an emotional level.
“They defended as a great team and showed that they’re built to win the Champions League.”
Massimiliano Allegri's men are currently eight points clear of second-placed Roma at the top of the Italian top-flight with six games to go.
They will discover their opponents for the next round of the Champions League on Friday.
