Massimiliano Allegri's side have been dealt another blow to their hopes of retaining the Serie A title, with the Italian defender added to their lengthy injury list

Juventus will be without another of their key players as Leonardo Bonucci has been ruled out for two months, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The defender is the latest of Massimiliano Allegri's players to have their name added to the injury list, after pulling up just 33 minutes into Juve's 3-1 defeat to Serie A.

Allegri: Juve too lightweight

Recent signing Dani Alves, who came to the club in June from Barcelona, also went off injured during the defeat, and faces three months on the sidelines with a broken leg.

Bonucci's thigh muscle problem will keep him out of action until the new year, meaning he will miss matches against Roma and Milan as well as the visit to local rivals Torino.

Allegri's side currently sit at the top of Serie A, just four points clear of Roma and Milan, with Lazio and Atalanta just a point further behind.

The Bianconeri have suffered numerous injury problems this season, with Andrea Barzagli and Paulo Dybala also missing time, while Allegri was even forced to call upon 16-year-old Moise Kean to fill in as Gonzalo Higuain was sidelined with a muscle problem.

Alves plays down injury fears

Higuain missed Juventus's 3-1 Champions League victory over Sevilla, which guaranteed their place in the knockout stage of the competition with one game remaining.

Bonucci and Alves are certainties to miss Juve's last Group H game on Wednesday, as Dinamo Zagreb come to Turin.
