Junior Ajayi scores in Al Ahly's victory over Misr Lel Makasa

The 21-year-old striker started the turnaround for Red Devils after they conceded a first half goal in Sunday’s Egyptian Premier League game

Junior Ajayi scored a goal in Al Ahly’s 2-1 triumph over Misr Lel Makasa at the Cairo Stadium.

The Nigerian forward inspired Hossam El-Badry’s men as they extended their unbeaten run to eight games in the Egyptian top-flight this season - with their only defeat coming against the same opponent on December 10.

They started on the back foot as John Antwi opened the scoring for the visitors from the penalty spot in the 27th minute.

However, in the 65th minute, Ajayi scored the equaliser before Walid Soliman 84th-minute effort sealed the win for the reigning Premier League champions.

Al Ahly remain unmoved at the summit of the league with 45 points from 18 league games and they visit El Raja for their next top-flight fixture on Thursday.
