Josh Perez makes Fiorentina debut

The American teenager came on as a second-half substitute as the Viola fell at Inter on Monday.

U.S. youth international Josh Perez made his professional debut on Monday, coming on in the 75th minute in Fiorentina's 4-2 loss at Inter.

Perez, 18, came on with his team down a man and a goal and was involved on the right flank as his side pushed for an equalizer. Ultimately Inter scored late to seal a two-goal win. 

The California native officially signed for Fiorentina in February and after impressing for the club's youth and reserve sides, Perez made his first-team breakthrough for the Viola on Monday at the San Siro.

Perez is the nephew of former U.S. national team player Hugo Perez. He has been a member of the U.S. youth national team at the U-17 and U-20 level.
